Here is a list of the dealers whom you may use when ordering various kinds of supplies and equipment.

Why is the speaker saying 'whom' instead of 'which' or 'that'?
I think it should be 'which' or 'that' because 'a list of the dealers' is a thing, not people.

I think using "whom" is OK here as it refers to dealers not to list .

This is really an interesting question, Jey. Smile

On one hand, I definitely see your point, that what's being modified is a list. In that case, using which/that is correct, of course.

On the other hand, I see that the speaker/writer has opted to modify dealers, and in that case, who(m) works as well as that.

So I see both ways of looking at this as possible.
