No, I think this sentence would never be said. I agree with Richard.

Maybe a sentence like this:

  • We'd like to know if you got home.

    Yes, Rachel. After MrP's post ("A second conditional may sometimes be used where the speaker doesn't believe in the possibility of the condition"), I thought it could also apply in our sentence. Thus, although using the past tense in "please call me when you got home" can be justified grammatically, it is not really used by the native speakers. Is this a good conclusion, or you think this still needs to be modified?

    MrP's sentences have if-clauses, and are conditional in form.
