Hello, Joshua:

To go with the verb 'were,' which goes with plural forms, you need changes.

The sentence should be:

  • After THE campaign, there were no CHANGES in THE intervention group and the control group.

n(1) no change is used as " There is no change of student number".
    (2) no change is used as "There are no changes of students."

Please correct me if I am wrong.

    'There is no [bchange[/b]...

    There are no changes...

If you mean that the number of students has not changed, you would say:

  • There is no change in the number of students.
    OR
  • There are no changes in the number(s) of students.
