Could you comment on the meaning of GOOD LIFE TEACHER or GOOD LIFE COACH. There seems to be quite a few of such phrases in current use.
There's a "profession" these days in which people "coach" other people in gaining life skills and helping these people make important decisions about their lives.
I put these words in quotes, because by professionsl standards, these people don't have professional training. As far as I know, there are no schools for "life coaching" and no examinations to pass. The people who take on this title may take some psychology courses or management courses, but they do not have recognized degrees to practice psychology or social work, and I don't think any state license, either.
Nevertheless, they set out to advise people on how to live their lives. They can't use the title "doctor," but they try to do the work of a psychologist, a social worker, or a human resources adviser or perhaps an enlightened religious leader. The word "coach" means that the person is acting as a coach, like a coach of a sports team, in making plans for his/her clients and in encouraging them in strategies about carrying out the game plan.
Now, it is possible that some of these people may be effective in helping others to live good lives. Their title is "life teacher" or "life coach" since they are teaching or coaching about life. The good teachers and coaches might be referred to as GOOD LIFE TEACHERS or GOOD LIFE COACHES.
