Get Jim to give the speech of welcome; he's quite the best person for the job.

Which is the closest sentence to the one given above?

A) Try to persuade Jim to give the speech of
welcome: he's good at such things.
B) Jim will give a far better speech of welcome than anyone else would; get him to do it.
C) As he's good at things like that, why don't you get Jim to give the speech of welcome?
D) One person who is good at speech making is
Jim; ask him to do it.
E) Jim will make as good a speech of welcome as
anyone l know; see if he'll agree to do it.

Why B, why not A?

All the interpretations seem quite logical.

I think I would choose B because of these ideas:

1) Jim is compared with others in this sentence and in the original;

2) 'Get him to do it' is the same. It means, of course, persuade him to do it.
