The sue filed on the district court by the district office about the people vs. John Smith was dropped due to lacking of enough evidence.

In this case, is it correct to use 'due to'?

Thank you

'Due to' is fine.

The sentence needs other repairs:

  • The suit filed in the district court..??? ...about the People vs. John Smith was dropped due to lack of enough evidence.
