Dear teachers,
I am hesitating about using words. Which is correct: "in" or "among" in this case?
"Holidays are especially rich in traditions, and in/among the popular holidays, Christmas is a great English national holiday."
Thank you.

The preposition you need is among, my friend. But the sentence needs to be tweaked a little:

Holidays are especially rich in traditions, and among the most popular ones, Christmas is a great national holiday in Western countries.

How's that, Coco? Smile
