What is the difference between:

He traveled TO England.

He traveled IN England.

"He traveled TO England" means that he actually went to England. He may only have stayed in one place.

"He traveled IN England" means that he traveled around in England. He probably went to many places.

While both sentences could mean that he spent time in England and got to know England, "travel IN England" connotes that he spent more time there, got around more there, and ended up knowing more about England that "travel TO England" does.
