My two cents:

It's important to understand, Kis, that we need to use the verb meet in the active voice in such a context. You meet somebody; not you are met somebody.

The verb meet can be used in the passive voice, but we will always understand from the context who met, is meeting, or will meet the subject:

We're going to Seoul to sign the final contracts with Hwang International, Ltd. for that huge imports deal we've been working on for months. When we get to Seoul, we'll be met at the airport and driven right to company headquarters.
