That you would have captured the anomaly (if you had checked the rosters) is not the reason you haven't checked the rosters; it is your reason for believing that you haven't checked the rosters. You can express that idea by using the modal "must" in the main clause:
- I must not have checked the rosters yet, as I am sure I would have captured the anomaly.
