Reply to "the use of ‘still’ in a sentence"

I still have a question. Can I rewrite the first example sentences you’ve given into”Mike loves watching birds, better still, he likes going shopping.”?

Hi again, Maxine—That is a run-on sentence. If you want to use a sentence with two independent clauses, you need to use a coordinating conjunction between them: "Mike loves watching birds, but, better still, he likes going shopping."
