Adverb + Adjective & Adverb + verb

Adverbs can also modify whole sentences:

- Curiously, the possibility of adverbs functioning as sentence modifiers has not been mentioned.

A small set of adverbs can even modify prepositional phrases:

• He lives right down the street.
• He stood directly under the bridge.
• He drove straight around the block.

I've been thinking that some adverbs can also accompany nouns, for example:

- Only John came to the party.

- See the paragraph above.

- The guy over there is my boss.
