Which tense is correct or both?

After I (got - had got) to the stadium, I realised that the match had already started.

IMO, the natural choice here is: 'got'. Here we have one action that led to another one and the second one followed the first one very closely, so there is no need to use the past perfect, particularly you used it to indicate the first action here: 'had already started'.
