Hi, "I got the students to stop sleeping during the class.", "got" here means......

a-persuaded    b-forced

And does the meaning of "got " differ from "made" if we say:

"I made the students stop sleeping during the class."

Hi, Ahmed.A.A—The sentence "I got  the students to stop sleeping during the class" means that the speaker caused the students to stop sleeping during the class. We can't tell whether the causing involved persuasion or force.

With "made," on the other hand ("I made the students stop sleeping during the class"), the meaning is equivalent to "I forced the students to stop sleeping during the class."
