1) The major streets were crowded for the holiday.
Does 'for' mean 'because of' here?
Or does it imply some kind of intention.
2) The people are here for the show.
In '2', 'for' clearly implies 'intention', but how about '1'?
Maybe in '1' we have the same 'for' as in:
3) I was arrested for theft.
or
4) I was a fool for believing her.
