Hi, Gary C123,

@Gary C123 posted:

Having a hard time finding an answer to this. Which one of these is correct?

1) I'm looking for someone who I can trust.

2) I'm looking for someone whom I can trust.

Thanks!

Both are acceptable.

1. I'm looking for someone who I can trust. (Correct informally).

2. I am looking for someone whom I can trust. (Correct formally)

The relative pronoun is the object of 'trust', so 'whom' is preferred here, however 'who' also works here informally.

3. I am looking for someone I can trust. (Preferred).
