Neither nor

I think it works with 'nor', but it doesn't work with 'or'. You could say:

- I could not speak French, Italian or Spanish.

Even if it is possible to do so, if you wish to use more than one "or" or "nor," I recommend avoiding "neither" and "either." As correlative conjunctions, they lead people to expect only one second half of the construction. Better:

• I could not speak French, (n)or Italian, (n)or Spanish.
