What is it like (to live/living) alone there?

Which one is correct? I think <to live> sounds OK to me, but <living> is confusing.

Hi, GBLSU—Both "to live" and "living" work. I'd use the version with "living" only if the person I was speaking to was living there alone or had lived there alone. Otherwise I'd use "to live": I wonder what it is like to live there alone.
