Hello all,

Sentence number 1 seems right to me. On the other hand, I am thinking there are actually two Ms I am talking about. Can you please tell me which one is correct? Thanks.

1. The letter M in both Maryland and Manhattan is in capital.
2. The letters M in both Maryland and Manhattan are in capitals.
3. The letters Ms in both Maryland and Manhattan are in captials.

Hi Alexwlh

To be honest, I don't think I'd use any of those. Instead, I'd probably use one of these rewordings:

- The letter M in both Maryland and Manhattan is capitalized.

- The letter M in both Maryland and Manhattan is a capital letter.
