There is a question in my book which has made me confused.

I have to choose between the most important and most important in this sentence:

Education is considered the most important / most important area in life.

and the teacher's book says that most important is correct! without The!

isn't it superlative form and don't we need the?!

With a noun ("area," in this case), you need an article:

- Education is considered the most important area in life. (superlative)
- Education is considered a most important area in life. (= an extremely important area, an area of utmost importance)
