Hello. which one is correct or both are?
- The famous band are planning to travel (in - through) Europe this summer.

Speaking of bands, they generally make tours through one or more countries.
Also, "in" is not generally used with the verb "travel."
How about travelling "around Europe"? "Through" works better if you name exact countries, or "through European countries."

You are right that "around" would have been more effective than "through" in that sentence to convey the idea that different countries will be visited. However, "around" was not an option in the exercise, and "through" was more acceptable than "in."
Oh, my bad! I didn't think it's an exercise. Thanks for your notice. Then it's obviously "through."
