Hi,

Is the use of the verb tenses in the sentence correct?

Another limitation was not accessing cardiac electrophysiological data since most arrhythmia and fibrillation events in aged rat hearts are caused by electrophysiological disturbances.

If you are doubtful about the combination of past and present, that shouldn't worry you: the limitation was experienced in the past and the scientific fact that follows is always true.
