Hello, 1. It is hard for the drivers of the cars behind the bus and vehicles coming in the opposite direction to see (the) pedestrians in the crosswalk. 2. Pedestrians in the crosswalk are hard to see for the cars behind the bus and vehicles coming in the opposite direction. Does sentence 2 grammatically work? I don't think so.
